Eating and Drinking in Briston

John H Stracey Free House and Restaurant.

J H Stracey

Set on the edge of the village on the B1354, the inn dates back to the 1500's when it was a well known resting and shoeing place for horses en-route from Wells to Norwich. Until some 30 years ago it was named the Three Horseshoes. It was then that the stables were converted into a cosy restaurant, comfortably seating 40 people. Offering Weekend or Two Day Mid-Week breaks, enjoy good food and a friendly atmosphere, not to mention real ales that are served in the bar where you can also obtain a wide variety of Bar Meals. Theme nights are regularly held so you can sample quisine from other parts of the world.

Hilary, Ray, Rupert, Alison, Clarissa and all the Staff ensure that your visit or stay is all that you would expect from a family run local establishment.

The John H Stracey can be contacted on Melton Constable (01263) 860891
