Originally, the site was meant to be a small one as an exercise in web publishing with just a few pages. As time went on however it was found that a few people were actually looking at it!!! At first, most of the material was taken from the Parish Magazine 'Working Together', and indeed, a lot still is. However, it was decided to add information which could be of interest to the local population, such as bus time tables, and a bit of history, making it interesting to those 'looking in'. The site has proved much more popular than was expected, although I will not pretend that it gets 1000's of visitors a day, week or even year. Time is always a problem, both in getting the information and then making up the pages, and of course I am learning all the time. It is interesting to note that we now have articles from a person who has memories of Briston and used the site to obtain some information in tracing someone who lives in Briston.
The site certainly has grown, and now has it's own domain name. It is a pity we cannot get the briston.co.uk domain. I will keep trying but at present that domain is owned by an organisation which clearly has little interest in the village.
